Summary

Today’s podcast looks at how extremists of the Left are going to make it hard for Joe Biden to get himself in a good position when it comes to crime—and how Tucker Carlson and others are going to make it hard for the GOP to get independent voters when it comes to soft-pedaling what happened on January 6. 0:47.0

Hi, John. Well, we were just starting. I was, I said, I didn't really know what on what we should be talking about today. And I have nothing prepared. But, all right. Let's try this.

1:04.0

We talked last week about Biden saying that he would not veto a bill that came to him overturning or controlling or taking charge of DC's crime policies to prevent DC from passing a new essentially pro criminal and pro disorder regulations.

1:31.0

And word came yesterday that the DCC, the council is now going to withdraw or rescind or do something so that this does not actually have to go through Congress and have them slap down.

1:47.0

So they, they, they, Chairman Phil Mendelssohn realizing the error of the council's ways far too late in the game said he was going to withdraw it. But that's because more and more senators, including democratic senators were signaling publicly that they would stand with Biden and stand against this bill.

2:06.0

And so they tried to withdraw. But I think I'm pretty sure there's no procedure for them to do that. I think it goes ahead. It's on the Senate schedule. It's they can't the city council can't say, oh, we take, take back seats, you know, that's really not how legislation works.

2:19.0

But so, but in any case, so, so Biden scores some kind of a point here in the Democrats are not soft on crime or I'm not, you're not going to, you're not going to get me on being soft on crime. But there is now this explosion slow going slow moving explosion going on in Atlanta.

2:43.0

That is going to be the next testing ground or proving ground on this matter because Atlanta is building a police training facility.

2:55.0

And for a couple of years, the fact that they were going to build this police training facility has been a flashpoint in the defund cop hating world. And there was this astounding moment the other night when a

3:19.0

planned, what would you call it? I mean, it's a said terrorist series of terrorists attack.

3:27.0

It's a domestic terrorist attack using Molotov cocktails fireworks a small bomb or two and then actual efforts to blind police using lasers.

3:39.0

And 20 or 30 people were arrested among them, of course, and quite deliciously this lawyer at the Southern poverty law center.

3:52.0

And can we note that most of the people arrested aren't from Atlanta or the or the state of Georgia. These are people coming from outside the state to cause this trouble.

4:00.0

I think there were one or two people who actually lived in Georgia who were arrested. So not locals. Yeah. So Thomas Web jargons 28 years old was the lawyer for the Southern poverty law center, which of course is spent the last 10 years.

4:16.0

Hold on, sorry guys. I don't know if you heard that. That's my. It's my my New York post my New York post window starting to auto plane ad.

4:29.0

Anyway, so this guy is. This guy is arrested. They're charged with domestic terrorism. It's I mean, it's a pretty serious thing.

4:41.0

And if you saw the Atlanta police chief being get a press conference at midnight.

4:47.0

And which he said, you know, they were trying to kill cops and we, you know, this was a very, very, very serious event. And this has been going on for two years ever since they announced they were going to build this facility.
