So Joe Biden has an op-ed in the New York Times laying out his proposal to save Medicare.

And I think it's really nice of the New York Times to print what you might call a campaign ad for Biden in the guise of an op-ed.

Because he is issuing a proposal that has no chance of passage.

And half the piece is just a sort of series of slanders against the Republican party and like, you know, deliberate untruths about the Maga Republicans who want to do this and want to do that and want to enrich big farm up blah blah blah blah.

So aside from the moral hazard in essentially turning your column over to a to a campaign ad as opposed to an actual legislative proposal that might garner support and passage, you know, in the house.

The substance of Biden's plan indicates that the Democrats and Biden under Democrats under Biden are now just going all in on a tax the rich message, which of course has always been an element of the Democratic party's populist approach.
