Wow, a little delayed response there from J.T.

Are you ready to lock? I was going to give me a little more leeway there, like a little more. JT., I need you to lock in because we're talking. It's spooky season, and I timed out the release of this episode for October 30th. The day before Halloween. Let me tell you something. If you don't believe in the providence of God, at least believe in my really good planning.

Because the episode today, the day before Halloween, is on demons and angels.

Who, what, where, how, why.

But this whole season, we are dealing with tricky topics and questions.

We are not looking for hot takes.

We're just trying to learn how to think theologically about everything, even the things that feel controversial or pragmatic. And today we're talking about demons and angels. Demons and

angels are certainly something that have shown up in American pop culture, yes? Yes. Yeah,

it doesn't take long to realize that like demons and angels are one of those things that even if you're like not involved at a church, you haven't sat foot in a church in a long time, you're like not a Christian, especially like in this season of the calendar. All of a sudden, people want to sit down and they want to watch a horror movie that deals with demons or good and evil

or spiritual evil or things that you can't see that go bump in the night and whether they're

good or bad and light versus dark like all of these themes show up in this window of time

and I think it's fascinating like I I think it's fascinating that in a culture

that has kind of prided itself on being like very scientific, very naturalistic in its

outlook, very kind of, you know, rigorously secular, at least that's the pretense now, that there is still so

much fascination with demons and angels, isn't there?

But don't you think some of those movies, which of course none of us have watched, don't

you think that some of those movies are popular precisely because people don't think it's real
