Coleman Jr. filling in for my friend and colleague Ali Velshi, and we begin this hour with midterm

season. The White House is feeling it.

Democrats across the country are feeling it too.

New polling is painting a picture for Republicans and it isn't pretty.

In an APNORC poll released just this week,

33% of Americans approve of Donald Trump's job as president.

Now 67% disapprove, and that's the

lowest approval rating that he's had since returning to office. 52% of registered voters said

if elections were held today, they'd vote for the Democratic candidate in their congressional

district. And that's according to a Fox News poll. Republicans' majority in the House was pretty bare anyway.

It currently sits at 217 Republicans to 12 Democrats with one independent and five vacancies.

Just five net seats gained would tip the scales in favor of Democrats. And on average, the President's party has lost

22 House seats in every midterm for the past 50 years. Now, this Tuesday, voters in Virginia

may have made Democratic control of the House even more likely. They approved by a narrow

margin, a congressional map that could create four new Democratic districts through gerrymandering.

Now, a judge in Virginia then ruled that vote unlawful, which the state immediately appeal.

The Virginia Supreme Court will hear arguments on the case next week.

It's the latest salvo in the mid-decade redistricting war. Now, all eyes are now

turning to Florida where Governor Ronda Santis is considering enacting a new congressional

map to aid Republicans. But that's the House. Let's go to the upper chamber of Congress,

the Senate. Things will not be as easy for Democrats here. To win a majority, they need to
