Next year's Congress is going to look a lot like this year's. Last night, the NBC News Decision Desc

declared that Democrats will retain control of the Senate defying history and expectations.

That call was made shortly after Clark County, Nevada, released a large batch of votes last night,

which helped incumbent Democrat Senator Catherine Cortez Mastow to pull ahead of her Republican opponent,

Adam Lacksalt, one of the state's most notorious election deniers.

Mastow claims the 50th Democratic seat in the Senate enough to ensure that her party will stay in power for

another two years. Retaining court control of the Senate means Democrats are going to be able

to help President Biden continue appointing and confirming an historically diverse set of judges

to the federal courts. And should the opportunity present itself, they'll be able to consider

a Supreme Court

nominee without having to worry about Republican obstruction. And things can only get better
