Hey, it's primary night's runoff night, and polls have just closed at the top of this hour

in California where

there was a special election. But it's Georgia that's on our minds tonight. Georgia held primaries

back in May, but it's one of those states where, for various reasons, candidates have to get

50% of the primary vote to advance to the general election. And for two key Republican races,

that didn't happen until tonight.

Mike Collins defeated Derek Dooley for the Republican Senate nomination,

and he's going to face off against the Democratic Senator John Ossoff this fall.

Rick Jackson defeated Burke Jones to become the Republican nominee for governor.

He's going to face off against the former Atlanta mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms, in November.

Now, if Keisha Lance Bottoms were to win, she will become the first black woman governor of any state in American history.
