And you're listening to The Suburban Women Problem. I don don't know about you but I'm still on the

roller coaster of grief over the election we've talked a lot about hope and joy in the past couple of

weeks and all that still is true but today we're going to get back into the news if you're not

ready for that that's understandable Take the time that you need.

We'll be joined by Tanya Martin, our deputy director in North Carolina, along with Kate Compton

Barr, a woman who ran for North Carolina State Senate in a district so gerrymandered that her

campaign website is Kate Barr can't win.com.

But before we bring on Tanya and Kate, I guess we should talk about what we've been seeing in the

news.

I don't really want to talk about it, but we can.

So it came out after the election that my husband's

opponent embezzled four million dollars from his employer, of which 800,000 was spent against

my husband on ads, on text messages, on lie after lie, after lie, after lie.

And that is, I think it's almost three times what my husband spent in total just on a lot

of lot.
