Well, I'm told I have 45 minutes, so even though the pastor says he normally goes late,

when you're the visiting preacher, you don't go late.

That's foolishness.

Everybody has ways of letting you know that you are going past the normal time,

and I try to avoid that as best as possible.

So if you'll turn with me to Paul's second

epistle to the Thessalonians, 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2, it would be easy to get lost in the

weeds of discussing the various theories of what Paul is talking about in the beginning of this

chapter.

That's not my intention at all.

I want to be focusing specifically on verses 10 and following in regards to the nature of God's judgment.

But I want to read, you've got to pick up, let's say, at verse 8, and then read the rest of the chapter.

And then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of his mouth

and bring to an end by the appearance of his coming, whose coming is in accord with the working of Satan,

with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of unrighteousness for those who perish,

because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.

And for this reason, God sends upon them a diluting influence so that they

will believe what is false, nor that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took
