This is Highwire and it's a brand new year. Happy new year, everybody. Welcome to 2018.

I think this is going to be an amazing year. I think that when I look back at what we accomplished in 2017,

in revealing truth and being transparent and discussing the difficult topics that are taking place

in this nation, especially things like vaccines, we've come a long way. You know, I have a lot of people

that now tell me, you know, just a year ago, I would be on my mommy blogs and if you brought up vaccines,

you'd be attacked and basically kicked out of that blog. But now this discussion, people are starting

to allow it to happen. They're getting involved in it and realizing this is something that we should

be talking about. That's a huge shift. But I want to talk about what are we going to do in 2018?

What is Highwire doing here? Because I've had a lot of time to think over the holidays of Christmas

New years and sitting at dinner tables and arguing over politics and things like that and trying to

think about what is it that we're doing here with Highwire? And I watch the news a lot. And I don't

know if you're one of those people that will turn on MSNBC to see what they have to say about an

issue and then turn on Fox and sort of go over the gamut of what's taking place in mainstream or cable

news. They're kind of all the same now. But I realize it's really only two thought systems that are

taking place. You are either sort of this progressive liberal that thinks that Trump is a lunatic

and the craziest person in the world. Or you are Trump supporting Republican that thinks that

Democrats are the craziest people in the world. In fact, I heard one comment I thought was kind of

funny on Fox News at one point. They said, you know, the difference between Democrats and Republicans

is that Republicans think that Democrats have stupid policies. Democrats think Republicans are
