So, if you have your Biblesibles go with me to the book of first

Corinthians chapter 3 and verse 18 in the King James first we're gonna start a

series today and we're gonna kick this new year off dealing with self-deception self-deception. Self-deception. We're not going to talk about how somebody

deceived you. We're talking about how you deceive yourself. Because I don't know how

we're going to get to where God wants us to get to this year if we're walking around deceived.

Not deceived by somebody, but if we're walking around in self-deception, the stuff we do to deceive ourselves, and we're real good at it.

And I want to start off by saying that that

nobody's exempt for this everybody can pick a point in time in your life where

there were certain things that you were fooled about or you were deceived about

but it is vital for us to understand how to deal with self-deception, how to recognize it,

what to do when it shows up, and then how to stay out of it.

Because if you've ever met somebody that's in self-deception, it's hard to minister to them.

It's hard to talk to them. They just don't want to see what they need to see.

And we're dealing with a generation that's subject to a lot of things they hear on certain platforms,

and it leads to them being deceived.

And this is something we need to talk about.

We're going to have special session in our men's fellowships

where we deal with it on an intimate level,
