Well, welcome back everybody to Bright hearth. This week I am not joined by my lovely wife Lexi and you'll see why in a moment here.

This episode idea actually came from a listener at the county before country conference.

I can't remember even who it was, but it was a gentleman he came up and he said,

before you guys wrap up this season, you know, we've been walking through the

rooms of the house asking how, you know, what domestic arts and arts of a productive Christian

household need to be recovered and, you know, really enjoyed and was skillfully undertaken in each room.

We were wrapping up the season and he said, you've got to do one on the gun cabinet.

And I said, well, I'm not fortunate enough to have a whole room in my house that is the gun cabinet.

But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that that listener, you were a genius.

Because if you build a glorious productive Christian

household but then you don't ever think about defending it and defending it in

every way as you'll see in this episode, then you actually are not building an

anti-fragual sort of thing. You're building something that's very vulnerable

that can be knocked down where tragedy can intrude easily and so we're going to talk about home defense

on a lot of levels here in this episode, in the gun cabinet.
