Several times we've heard Phil Martelli refer to Hunter Dickinson as a wrestling heel,

a wrestling bad guy.

And that's pretty fair, right?

Hunter Dickinson loves relishes an opportunity to spark a visiting crowd.

He embraces that opportunity.

He soaks up the booze and the jeers.

It's interesting because Phil Martelli has a

wrestling-like persona to him and a wrestling-like approach. You see, in that side of things, yeah,

you might be trying to script hostile rivalries and all these great things, but ultimately,

you're trying to build up others around you.

And over the last few days with Juan Howard, the head coach of Michigan men's basketball,

suspended for five games, Phil Martelli has taken over his acting head coach.

He knows how to be a head coach.

He was won for more than two decades at St. Joseph's.

But he has never once talked about him and what he has to do and what he has helped others with.

He props up everyone else, whether it's talking about the impact that Joanne Howard has had on this period of time with all of the work he

put in beforehand. You'll hear later on in our conversation with Coach Martelli about how

he credits Howard Isley and Sadi Washington for taking kind of an offensive coordinator role

for Coach Isley and a defensive coordinator role for

coached it up and executed in a unique situation without Joanne Howard on the floor.

And ultimately, it's about the players.

He talked about a togetherness.
