but prior to each of the two games this week.

The first is a simple one about Michigan's remarkable stretch of 10 wins by 345 total points,

all of them by 18 points or more, the first such stretch since a final four Duke team in the 0304 season.

This was Coach May at his Monday press conference the day before the game at Penn State

when asked if it would benefit

the team to experience a close down-to-the-wire type of game. No, I don't really want to be in

one-possession games because as we saw in Minnesota last year, one possession game could be a

half-court heave to lose. And as we know in the Big Ten, one game can cost you a championship

or can send you down a spiral

that you have to figure out a way to stop the bleeding and things like that.

So, you know, no, we just, we want to show up and play with the same spirit and fire that we did

in game one and continue to make the plays that are contagious

because, as we all know, human behavior is contagious.

While Michigan opened the door at Penn State, they closed it at the very last instant

to hold on for a victory.
