Well, I said after Tuesday's win, you should never apologize for a win, but maybe after this

two and oh week for Michigan, there's a little smile, a little nod, and a little realization that,

yeah, Michigan's 3 and O, but there's a long way to go.

Listen, this team's incredibly talented, and you saw it in various stretches, short stretches

on the road on Friday at TCU.

But there's a long way to go for this collection of talent to become a team.

Remember, these two teams squared off 364 days prior in Ann Arbor.

Michigan committed 21 turnovers.

The only game with more in the Dusty May era was the road game at Purdue later last season until this one.

Michigan committed 22 more.

Yet they found a way and maybe in different ways than you would have expected.

Michigan defensively, that was a bit of a concern, a question going into the Wake Forest game.

When you score 121 points, defense isn't a big topic. but there were some room to grow, certainly, based on the two

exhibition performances defensively, but Michigan needed it.

They needed some veterans to come through, like Roddy Gale Jr.

How about his ability to drive to the basket when Michigan was begging for any sort of offense?

How about Namari Burnett, not just those two big free throws, but he was able to be a

connector at times in this second half.

You'll hear from Dusty May about him, and you'll hear from Namari himself in a little bit.

But also the fact that maybe the player who had the calmest, the coolest, the most

collected type of a game was the freshman.
