was listed as having nine offensive rebounds for the game when it did feel around

All those numbers, interesting, but also as

a relevant long term as a result of this game. The two primary takeaways for me, one,

had coach Dusty May said in our pregame radio chat that Cincinnati would be physical and

defensive-minded. And after 20 minutes of action, you kind of got the idea of what Mike Boynton Jr. was talking about

multiple times, he said. Cincinnati knocked us on our heels. There was a bounce back in the second

half. Michigan certainly played a lot better, but that physicality will be a focal point of some

film sessions and practices to come and to learn from.

The other aspect I'll say is this.

Dusty May has said since, what, the middle of last season, that he and his staff may have underestimated the physicality of the Big Ten.

The spring portal recruitment for Michigan focused on big additions, along with

point guard Elliott Caddo.
