There's no denying it.

This is gut check time for Michigan men's basketball.

The Wolverines have been squarely on the bubble.

I mean right at that pivot point of 68 and 69 for weeks, months even at this point.

And the Wolverines have alternated wins and losses for about a month.

The last time Michigan did not was back on February 8th and February 10th,

when the Wolverines won at Penn State and at home against Purdue.

And those two games are the perfect synopsis of this Michigan season.

On that Tuesday night in State College, Michigan had to escape.

It felt like a trip to the dentist where you're just trying to get out of there without a cavity.

And then two days later, two days later, Michigan put up a performance for the ages,

their best win on their NCAA tournament resume as they blasted

Purdue 82 to 58. They're the best offense in college basketball and Michigan held them to 58.

That's what we saw over the last couple of games as well. Michigan decked their rivals from East

Lansing on Tuesday night. It was a 17-point game, and quite frankly,

it didn't really ever feel that close in the second half.

And then two days later, on senior night,

the Wolverines never led.

They came out flat in the first half.
