In his first year as head coach, but he's been with the program 17 years,

and the team right now is ranked number four in the country.

This is Conquering Heroes. Here's your host, John Jansen. Well, I'd like to welcome in the new

but not new, head coach of men's gymnastics here at Michigan, coach you and Shao. Coach, thanks for

joining me, and you've been here. Coach, thanks for joining me and you've

been here 17 years. This is your first year as head coach of men's gymnastics. So far, how's it

been? Yeah, I believe the team doing so well this year and also a lot of challenge for us,

a lot of things are changing and from the competition

schedule change to the people change.

We had another coach and to fill the job too.

But our team doing well and the guys at the team motivation and level and energy level so high during the practice and the competition.

So right now, it looks like you guys are about halfway through the season, through the regular season,

and you guys are ranked for number four nationally. Is this, the expectations that you had coming into the season?

Yeah, and I think right now we are ranked number four so far,

and we are beat the number three team, which is Nebraska and a big margin.
