I'm your host, Paris Marks, and before we get into this week's episode, I just wanted to talk about something pretty exciting with the podcast.

This month, we celebrate our fourth birthday.

It's hard to imagine saying that about a show that I started in the early days of the pandemic when we were all in lockdown.

And I figured it was probably a better time than any to start a podcast.

And now four years later, we're here.

I've done over 200 episodes of the show digging into a whole range of critical topics on the tech industry with such fantastic

guests over those four years. We have more than 90 show transcripts on our website for people

to explore, to go back over things, and just if they prefer

to read rather than listen to these interviews. We've done live streams like our usual end-of-year

live streams where we go over what happened in the past year in tech. And of course, the recent

live stream that we did on Dune, and we want to start doing some more of those. I think you all have fun with our annual worst person in tech contest that, of course,

we'll be doing at the end of the year again this year. And in October of last year,

we did an in-depth series called Elon Musk on Mask, digging into who this man is, where he came

from, and how he built this mythology of himself that is hopefully

rapidly falling apart as he takes this turn to the extreme right. But that doesn't mean that

there aren't really serious dangers that come with the power that he is amassed. Along with the
