I heard you on Radio 4 this week, and I thought it was fantastic.

Just tell us, what was the program you were on?

The program was Add to Playlist, which is one of my absolute favorite shows, which it used to be Keros Matthews, and that's the wonderful Anna Phoebe, who does it. I would have something that appeals to our audience, certainly, because it's, you know, you have this, you link between songs. Someone starts with the song, and then you have to come up with a, choose another one, and link to that, and on it goes. And it goes and it's so broad when we had from jimmy cliff to chikovsky to sort of 70s new york avant

guard and the song i chose i was really really pleased about because um because i thought the

theme should be bass and i tried i find something that was all bass which was rock on by david

essex which i'm sure we've talked about. Yeah. Yeah, which is Herbie Flowers, right? It is Herbie Flowers, which I must say now, talking about him, I think it's a shame we never got him on. Yeah. There aren't there two bass bases on that track? There is. I can't really hear them. Two or three.

If I'm honest.

They say it's two basses. But it's not like, you know, walk on the wild side where there clearly is two basses. No, because it's the echo that's making the sound of the other set. Yeah. Yeah. And what a great, and let's get David Essex on. Absolutely. We should. Yeah. I thought what I loved was not only did,

was I reminded what a great track rock on is and what an art piece it is. Yeah. Avant-garn art rock, isn't it? Absolutely. I mean, you've got this guy who comes along who's kind of like plugging into glam rock, but closer probably to the Osmondmans than glam rock. Yes.

And teeny bop in a way.

I mean,

coming out of musical theatre,

I suppose.

And then you decide to make this record so minimalist.

You just use a bass with some slap on it,

some odd kind of percussion that sounds like someone's hitting some luggage.

And then all of a sudden, for about 10 seconds, you get these strings.

They're like Bollywood strings, really weird.
