And the text on the screen said, now I have to return the gift I just bought for her for Christmas. Okay, editor's note, I'm stepping in here. You see, he bought her the same thing she had just bought for herself in case that wasn't clear, because I had to reread it. Re-read it. An instrument for washing a baby's bottle. That's correct. There were a lot of comments saying household items are not gifts and that he should have never been gifting her a baby bottle cleaner in the first place. Are household gifts good? you're jumping in. You've got a... I have some strong opinion. Okay, let's hear it. Well,

the only way I think this is okay is if the person has been just dying for something, and it's a luxury item upgrade from what they normally have,

it's unnecessary, it's just something they really want.

If it's needed, as in I need a blender,

just a straight up blender that's in our budget, you just get it for them because

you need it. It's not a fucking gift unless it's a luxury blender that they're like, I really

want to spend a little extra, then you're going overboard with it. I hear what you're saying.

I think I'm keyed into the same thing as you, Rachel, because I was thinking about how I was like, oops, I've definitely gotten my mother, for instance, household items as presents.
