Summary

In this episode, I talk through the making of a new song from scratch. Each day of the process, the writing and un-writing of a new piece of music called, "December 21, 2020: The Great Conjunction", inspired by the "Great Junction" astronomical event, where we get to see Saturn and Jupiter appear the closest to each other in 800 years... on Dec. 21st, the Winter Solstice, no less. This piece of music belongs to "Astronomy", an ongoing series of songs, which are kind of like soundtracks to cool stuff happening in the Universe around us. are hearing right now. It's not the glow you feel when snow appears. It's not the Christmas card.

1:04.4

You've sent for years. And the other I recorded at the request of my two daughters, ages six and four

1:13.3

Lillian Iris, who wanted me to do Rudolph the Red Nose Render. So they actually covered it with me

1:18.0

and sang along. Rudolph the Red Nose Render have very shiny nose and if you ever saw it,

1:29.2

you would even say it close and all of the other reindeer you still have from calling names.

1:39.2

They never let porno join in any reindeer game. I love having gotten to record that with them.

1:48.0

They are hilarious. That song as well as the Seek of Christmas is everywhere. Music is.

1:55.1

All right, let's dive in. So if you've listened to this podcast before, you are familiar with

2:00.6

the general format of the episodes. I talk through and explain how each song of mine is born,

2:07.5

one song at a time and explain the details, the meaning, the little Easter eggs that are hidden

2:12.7

throughout each song. But each of the episodes are recorded after the fact. So the songs are

2:17.1

completely done and then I'm going back through and explaining how it became a song.

2:22.0

But today I thought it might be fun or maybe it'll be a total train wreck, but I wanted to

2:26.9

document in podcast form the writing of a brand new song from scratch all the way through.

2:32.0

So in this episode, you'll hear the whole story from the beginning through the trials and errors
