Coming up on Sword and Scale Daily, a California groom was allegedly beaten to death by wedding

crashes during his wedding reception. In New York City, a 16-year-old girl who was abducted

off the street by four men is safe and back home with her family.

Finally, in Colorado, police charge a Florida truck driver with the 1980 murder of a college

KTLA 5 reports that two suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of 30-year-old Joe

Melgoza, who was beaten to death during his wedding reception in Chino, California.

Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call about a fight around 2.20am on Sunday. When they arrived,

they found a large crowd of party goers who were there to celebrate Melgoza's marriage

to Esther Busta Monte. The house belongs to his new wife's sister. Two victims at the scene

had suffered minor injuries and told the officers that another victim was missing.

After a quick search, police found Joe Melgoza in the yard of a house across the street from where

the wedding reception was being held. Joe Melgoza had suffered blunt force trauma to the head and died

after arriving at the hospital. Witnesses told NBC4LA that the suspects,

brothers Ronnie and Hoseway Costinata Ramirez, lived nearby, but had not been invited to the reception.

When the two crashed the party, the groom asked them to leave. However, according to the witnesses,

the brothers then returned armed with baseball bats and attacked Melgoza and the guests.

Andy Velasquez, Melgoza's brother, told NBCLA, quote,

those cowards came back with bats. They were in an alley and it was dark. My brother tried to go get

them. They pulled him into a house and they killed him. The suspects, 28-year-old Ronnie Costinata
