So much going on in the news today and there's a lot of stuff that you know it was catching my eye

Moderna seeking emergency use authorization for COVID-19 vaccines for children

aged six months through five years, which is great because every

parent with a small child just got terrified when a judge that should never become a judge said no more masks on airplanes.

Also, 10 House Republicans voted against a bill geared towards streamlining the transfer of weapons to Ukraine, amidst Russia's bloody barbaric

invasion of the country, 10 House Republicans.

I know you're wondering, yes, Marjorie Taylor Green, Matt Gates, and Paul Gossar are among them.

But I really wanted to talk about the fact that more than half of millennials now say they can't even think about buying a home

because of student loan debt.

Now, there have been calls to cancel student loan debt for a long time. Back in 2013 Elizabeth Warren was trying

to get a bill that said that students should be able to pay the same

percentage points of interest paid by the banks that ripped us off

but Mitch McConnell wouldn't allow a vote on that. Even before Joe Biden announced his presidency.

He was hearing a lot of pressure about this and he

finally backed the idea of canceling some student loan debt on the campaign

trail back in 2020. He said in Miami I'm going to make sure everybody in this generation gets $10,000 knocked off their student debt as we try to get out of this god-awful pandemic.

It's a really good idea. And since he first began the presidency, a lot of people with heavy

student loan debt have been really eager to see when and if he's going to follow through on that.

Student loan forgiveness would really ease the financial

burden that 42 million Americans have faced for a long time. We're very fond of this

issue on the show. I made a movie about it for PBS a couple years ago
