Welcome on the last day of this holiday weekend.

I'm Bill Cannon, a 27-year NYPD veteran, retired NYPD sergeant. You know, we've done so much coverage on this case,

of course Madeline Soto, the little girl who had such a tragic life. But we haven't covered much of this here, what you see on the screen.

And that's Stefan Stearns' parents.

We have praised the Kassemi police as well as the Orange County Sheriff's Office

in regards to their investigation in this case.

And I don't pull it back.

I continue to praise them.

The thoroughness of this investigation. And in any major investigation, and this is, of course,

a homicide investigation among other things, we want to see an in-depth, robust victimology.

And a victimology, of course, is the study of the victim. And by doing

that, we find out everything we need to know about the background of the victim. You know,

how old was she? Where did she live? Who were our relatives? What grade was she in school in this

case? Because she's a 13-year-old she's a 13 year old girl you speak to her

classmates speak to her teachers speak to all of her family members speak to her mother speak to

her mother's boyfriend and in that in-depth victimology the answer to who did this is going to pop up.

And in this case, and I'm not saying it was easy,

100% it was not easy, but it popped up,

and they got the answer.

And I guess probably two days, they got the answer.
