We've been discussing the 21st century.

We turn now to our own century, the first century a.

Where Rome is the empire of the planet. Very, very

relentless. It is not wise to cross Rome. We know that is Romans, which is why we're so far from Rome. We're safer here as

Equis class. We can't get caught up in the machinations of a dagger in your back. We've been through the first century. The Julian

Claudians are gone. Not to return, I'm certain, with Nero's exit. That was the

end.

However, we're dealing with Emperor who is troublesome to the Senate.

At the same time, I've been talking to retired centurions,

who were here during the trouble, the recent troubles of the

Britain tribes. There was the Burgantians who are still prosperous. There was the Aisinai, not so prosperous. There was the Budica

rebellion of some decades ago. But lessons learned from the Burgantian rebellion.

So Germanicus, I put this question to you as I put to the Centurians. The Burgantians fought well and they lost. They're now reduced to being

a client state. The Ice and I fought well and they're now obliterated because that's what happens if you won't make a deal with Rome.

Is it something to learn that it is better to be a client of an empire than to defy an empire?

Is that a Roman lesson for the 21st century?

This is an important, even an existential question when it comes to the ability of one people, one great tribe to subjugate other tribes.

And it's our destiny to believe we're the best and people should welcome us.

We're the best.

Right. Not only subjugate them, but make them you.
