Hey Jimmy. How did I'm? A deathbed vision is a vision that someone has just

before they die. They have been reported all through history but only recently

have they been the subject of scientific study.

So what are deathbed visions?

What happens during them, and what might they tell us about the afterlife?

That's what we'll be talking about on this episode of

Recently in episode 3.12, we talked about terminal lucidity is that the same thing as a deathbed vision

The only obvious thing they have in common is that they occur shortly before a person dies. Terminal lucidity is is a

phenomenon that occurs shortly before a person dies.

A terminal lucidity is a phenomenon that occurs when a person has developed long-standing

cognitive impairment, like dementia

from Alzheimer's disease or a stroke or something, and then a few days or hours before they

die their full mental function suddenly comes back for a period of time.

But they usually don't claim to see anything unusual while this is happening.

It's just that they're able to think clearly again.
