Tuesday afternoon on the SSPX podcast, and we were just about ready to start recording

tomorrow morning's daily devotional Wednesday's daily devotional when we received the sad

news about His Excellency Bishop Bernard Titier de Maleret passing away.

Didn't quite seem right to just jump right into the daily devotional.

So I wanted to acknowledge that this happened and we were going to announce it

tomorrow morning anyway that there will not be a podcast daily devotional for the next few days

and into the weekend. We'll be back on Monday or Tuesday. So just a short break, a little under a week.

We were going to tell you that anyway. It had nothing to do with this. but in case there are no episodes, that's why. So we'll be back next week. But in the meantime,

I think the most fitting thing is just to read the back of his holy card, the card which will be

available at his funeral. It gives you just a brief insight into the life of Bishop of the Catholic Church,

and there will be much more information, I'm sure, to come in later days.

On Tuesday, the 8th of October, at 108 p.m., having received the sacraments of our Holy Mother of the Church. He was 79 years old,

had been a priest for 49, and a bishop for 36. He was born on the 14th of September, 1945, in Salanchet Savoy of French

nationality. He was one of the first seminarians welcomed to Freiburg by Archbishop Lefebvre in
