that we are going to talk about, the United States became a place where

there were significant protests taking place, all of which were condemning police brutality and

racism. The protests were actually spreading throughout the entire world, and though triggered by

the murder of George Floyd in May of 2020, they became increasingly more volatile as events

continued to occur. Confrontations between protesters and counter-protesters became

commonplace in the news, and it seemed like each and every day some sort of new escalation

was being talked about. And one such place where a lot of these protests and

counter protests were taking place was Portland, Oregon, where it was reported that right-wing

protesters were firing off paintball guns, releasing bear spray, and shooting off fireworks

at other protesters.
