song that you're going to share with us today. What do you have? I have defense by Panda Bear featuring Cindy Lee.

And what can you tell me about Panda Bear? I mean, I know he's a member of Animal Collective,

but has some incredible solar records that he's released over the years.

Yeah.

I feel like Panda Bear just is kind of everywhere and nowhere these days.

Like, sometimes I listen to this guy and I'm like,

this dude was on Dap Punk's random access memories?

Like this just rando indie guy with a beautiful voice.

But I don't know.

I think it's a testament to just what a clear and unique presence his voice has.

It's beautiful.

And he is really good at layering it in a really comforting way.

He's clearly, like, influenced by the Beach Boys,

but sort of doesn't take the easy Beach Boys' cosplay approach.

It's interesting.

He's hard to pin down.

And, of course, like, Animal

Collective is such a strange, ever-shifting band that his, I think without his voice,

occasionally singing an Animal Collective song, like, that project falls apart a little bit,

just because they're so, I mean, I love them. I'm not, I'm not dissing them at all.

But they're so kind of chaotic and eclectic.
