Hello and welcome to the Americano podcast, a series of discussions about American politics and the Trump presidency for the new Spectator USA website.

0:16.4

I'm joined today by Elizabeth Harrington, who is a senior writer at the Washington Free Beacon,

0:21.5

and we're going to be asking, Dear Ivanka, what is your game? Liz, I'd like to talk to you

0:27.1

about Ivanka Trump, because at the moment there seems to be a social media campaign called

0:31.9

Dear Ivanka, where various celebrities write to her and sort of demand that she stops her father's abhorrent policies.

1:40.2

So she was put in a socially difficult position for her personally.

1:44.0

Right.

1:45.0

And I think she's kind of handling it in a way.

1:50.0

Now that she's gotten into politics, she actually sounds more and more conservative all the time.

1:58.0

But she doesn't have that.

2:00.0

She still has this essence about her that she's nonpartisan,
