Hey everyone, welcome back to Teenager Therapy, I'm Gael, and welcome to the next episode

of our Swiping safely series.

And in this episode, it's a really exciting one because we're going to be talking to a

variety of experts that are going to be breaking down the issue about grooming and predatory

behavior and trauma and have a recovery from it.

So we're going to be able to talk to these experts and get their input on why this is

a problem, why so many teams are resorting to these apps, the dangers of it, and the

best solutions and how we could kind of help improve this as a community.

So our first guest will be Timothy Elliott, who is a psychotherapist that specializes

in LGBTQ plus counseling, and so you're going to get to hear him first, but I'll let him

introduce himself.

I'm a clinical social worker practicing for over a decade right outside of DC, Washington,

DC.

Two of my specialty areas are supporting the LGBT community, specifically young people,

and the other is helping people recover and heal from trauma.
