Summary

Three friends went to a remote beach. One guy wandered off and suddenly heard a "hey" coming from the waves. Far out in the waves, a lone figure floated, unmoving. Thinking it was his friend, he paddled toward it—until the shape’s face came into view. It wasn’t his friend at all. As he turned back, something icy gripped his ankle and dragged him under. A surfer saved him, but the image of that corpse-like face still lingers. Later, they learned the beach was closed… its waters known for taking lives... Follow Be. 0:35.9	Summer always reminds me of the beach. And when I think of the beach, I cannot help but remember something that happened to my friend James.
0:44.9	It happened back when James was still in college.
0:49.3	That day, it was just James and his two friends, Tyler and Daniel, three guys headed out to the coast.
0:56.9	They didn't have a specific destination.
0:59.5	They were just driving along the shoreline, planning to stop and hang out whenever they found a nice and empty spot.
1:06.4	Just a casual outing, really.
1:09.3	Hey, this spot looks good, doesn't it? Nah, it's packed. Let's find
1:13.8	somewhere quiet. While joking around like that, they eventually came across a quiet beach with a mix
1:20.2	of sand and rocks, not far from the main beach, but definitely off the beaten path. Besides,
1:26.9	a few windsurfers out in the distance, it was practically deserted.
1:32.3	James and the others, though, they liked the hidden away feel of it and decided to stop and hang out there.
1:39.3	But before getting into the water, they inflated the floats in inner tubes that they brought with them.
1:49.6	Honestly, James wasn't a great swimmer, so the float was kind of a lifeline for him, really.
