Alana Shore congressional reporter for Politico. Hi Alana. Hi Charlie. Thanks for

coming back. Thanks for having me. So our first data point today is six. That's the number of days left until the next

government shutdown deadline and there are 31 days left until the deadline

for a fix to the DACA or deferred action for Childhood Arrivals

program.

Now Congress is expected to pass another short-term spending agreement to avoid another

shutdown, but uncertainty and chaos continue to surround the negotiations in each of those areas.

But before we talk a little bit about, or before we talk about the shutdown and immigration deals

that are percolating, you came today a little bit late and I must note that

Bridget, our producer, was raging in the microphone about that, but you came in late.
