Summary

This week we feature the second set from the band's 15th Anniversary show which took place on June 8th, 1980 at Folsom Field at the University of Colorado in Boulder Colorado. A very nice 'Feel Like A Stranger' opens things up, and I think it contains more than its usual share of Garcia explorations.. 'Ship of Fools' follows, it always struck me as almost anthem-like in how it skates over the edges of politics... much needed these days.. 'Estimated Prophet' marks the start of the meat of this set.. the jam gets out there quickly and before we know it Garcia leads us into the 'Eyes of the World' that follows. This version is a real scorcher.. blasting along before shifting into the rhythms that flow into Drums and Space.. 'Saint of Circumstance' leads into a quieter but beautiful 'Black Peter'.. Sugar Mag ends the set, but the boys return for a double encore, which reaches it's apex with a nice 'Brokedown Palace'.

0:18.6	If you listen to last week's dead pod, you know it was high quality and the band is really on during this set.
0:25.0	The second set continues what I think was a great first set performance.
0:31.0	It's not, it may not be quite as strong coming out of the box because they don't start out with that.
0:36.0	Uncle John's playing Uncle John's, but they start out with a really nice feel like a stranger. I think Jerry does quite a nice job on that.
0:42.0	Then the Seggs... stranger. I think Jerry does quite a nice job on that. Then it segs into an
0:46.0	interesting ship of fools that was a standard throughout this time and Jerry does
0:50.5	a really expressive job on the vocals here and I think it's quite well done into
0:56.4	estimated profit. The estimated is very this is one of the highlights of the jam here in
1:01.0	this second set I think the meat of it. Jerry really takes us out there and back a couple of times.
1:07.0	He and Brent have some interplay here that's very nice going into a beautiful Eyes of the World.
1:13.6	The Eyes of the World is quite up-tempo in a lot of ways.
1:17.0	Jerry takes it out pretty quickly into a jam.
1:20.2	The first jam comes in just a couple of into the song and some nice solos there.
1:26.0	It's really crackling with energy. I think you'll enjoy it quite a bit.
1:30.0	They go into drums, quite, it goes into drums eventually.
1:33.8	They take their time doing that.
1:36.0	Brent and the drummers in particular do a nice seg into drums and space. Drums and space is quite nice.
1:45.0	Space in particular, it goes into a saint of circumstance.
