Hello and welcome the Dead Pod for the week of June the 15th 2007. This is a professor I'm so glad you could pick us up this week.

True to my word I'm going to be bringing us the second set from Laguna Seca, July 31st, 1988 this week, and this is a great second

set.

It starts off with a pretty wild hell in a bucket, and then a very nicely played foolish heart

into a man-smart women women smarter and then a wonderful

tear up in station.

Then Brent shines through and I will take you home a nice space and drums into the other one, a quick but nice miracle,

and then a rousing morning do.

I think you're going to enjoy this set, if you're not familiar with it. I think it's a real

keeper. It's also not too late to enter a contest for a copy of David Dodd's excellent book,

the complete annotated Grateful Dead L lyrics.

I'm going to keep those entries open until Sunday.

After Sunday, I will pick the winners and notify them by email.

I've gotten a lot of entries already, but had a lower than usual circulation on

last week's dead pod. I think part of it was that folks might have been confused

that I put out two dead pods last week.

One was the interview with conductor Lee Johnson and the other, the first set from the

Laguna Seca show.
