Summary

What a classic set list we have on this week's Deadpod. While this show took place back in 1991, none of the songs debuted earlier than 1972. Better yet, they are all played with joy and authority reminiscent of earlier periods in the band's history.

The tight opening China>Rider portends a great second set, and we are not disappointed for following this we have a fine 'Looks Like Rain' highlighted by some Healy echo on Bobby's vocals, then Garcia leads the ensemble into a long and dreamy 'Dark Star. The Star goes seamlessly into an interesting drums and space but then returns before leading into a continuation of 'Playin' In the Band' from the previous evening. Jerry then brings out 'Black Peter' in the ballad spot and delivers a soulful rendition. The set closing 'Lovelight' brings the crowd one last chance to shake their bones. Jerry returns for a great encore choice: 'It's All Over Now, Baby Blue'.

0:07.0	This week, we're going to bring you a beautiful second set from the band's performance
0:10.0	at the Greensboro Coliseum and Greensboro, North Carolina, on April 1st, 1991.
0:16.5	A performance punctuated, of course, with Bruce Hornsby sitting in.
0:20.3	This one starts with a great China rider, the China Cat rider combination.
0:24.6	Always good. The transition in particular is very nicely done here.
0:30.6	I think the beginning you get a real nice, in the China Cat, a real nice combination of Vince, actually, Vince and Phil. And it really moves
0:40.6	quite nicely into, I Know You Rider. I think you'll enjoy it. Looks like Rainfowls. It's,
0:46.2	Bobby does an excellent job here. Jerry leads the band into a dark star. This is a nice, relaxed paste
0:53.0	into the dark star. It's very nicely done.
0:56.0	Nice and long, goes into drums in space.
0:59.0	They come back with Dark Star version 2 after space.
1:02.0	It's almost a seamless transition from space into that Dark Star.
1:06.0	Then they go into a playing in the band reprise from the night before, really.
1:10.0	Then Jerry does a great job
1:11.9	on Black Peter. Kind of slows things down, nice mellow tune. That goes into the rock and love light.
1:19.6	They close, which close is set to, and then they come back with a really fine version of it's all
1:25.6	over now, Baby Blue.
1:35.8	Interesting in this set is that all these songs, there's no song that debuted later than late 72 here.
1:41.2	This is a set list that could have gone out, come out of a much earlier period.
