This week we're going to bring you a show from 1973, one of my favorite years and a year you really can't go wrong with.

This one comes to us from March 31st, 1973, War Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo, New York.

Starts out with as often in this era, Mississippi Half Step.

Then a great race is on.

Sugarie follows, Mexicali Blues,

which I do quite a good job on.

Box of rain, and I think here you'll notice as much as anywhere,

how twangy and nice sounding Garcia's guitar is in this set.

Tennessee Jed, Follows follows then Jack Straw a little

slower than sometimes. Big Railroad Blues picks the pace up a little bit.

El Paso follows. Row Jimmy, Box looks like Rain, they love each other, again a little bit faster than later versions,

and then they close set one with a nice playing in the band.

But watch out for Donna on this one, she does do a shriek or two.
