Hello and welcome the Dead Pod for the week of February the 7th 2014.

This is Professor I'm so glad you could pick us up this week.

This week I'm reaching way back 45 years for the Dead's live performance at the Kiela

Auditorium in St. Louis, Missouri on February the 6th, 1969.

This is a great one.

Of course, the tape this old is going to have a few problems, but I think overall it's pretty decent quality and certainly excellent

energetic performance by a young up-and-rise-in band.

Starts out with Morning Dew, then a good Dark Star at Great St Stephen goes into a fabulous

11. That's one of my favorites on this tape. Then a really nice love light.

Cryptical, the other one, Cryptical feedback and a bid you good night. I read that the

dead open for Iron Butterfly this night, you'll hear some references to that in here.

I think they blew them away, but we'll see everything I read.

But hopefully you enjoy this tape as much as I do always nice to

pull out some really old excellent early dead and hope you enjoy it folks thanks so much

for picking us up I want to thank those of you who are able to support the

dead pod. I really couldn't do it without your support and I much appreciate it.
