Hello, I'm Oak the Dead Pod for the sixth day of February, 2026. This is Professor, I'm so glad

you could pick us up this week. This week, I decided to switch up things a little bit and

jump ahead to the spring tour of 1990. In particular, this is the second night of a

Mardi Gras run that took place out in Oakland on February 26, 1990. It was a Monday night.

But it's a nice first set and a great second set. So we'll hear the first set this week and

second set next week. Starts out with Bobby doing quite a spirited version of Hell in a Bucket.

A nice Peggy O follows. Then a, for my mind, a pretty darn good

walk-in blues. Not usually my favorite song, but I enjoy this one quite a bit. Jerry does a great

ramble on Rose to follow, and then we get some great banter. Jerry breaks his usual vow of not

speaking to the crowd and encourages people to, encourages people to ask Phil to sing,

and Phil does step up and do just like Tom Thumbs Blues,

one of my favorites of his vocal repertoire.

That's followed by a nice music never stops, and a set closing,

Don't ease me in.

So I enjoy this one, and looking forward to set two next week.
