A really BIG show this week on the Deadpod!

From December 8, 1973 at Duke University we have this gem on this week's Deadpod. A huge 16 song first set featuring some really wonderful renditions and great jamming on some of these tunes. An example is Jerry on the 'Mexicali Blues', a very fine version of 'Me & Bobby McGee', and a complete 'Weather Report Suite'.

For fine jamming, the China>Rider can't be beat - including a 'Feelin' Groovy' jam (although it does have a cut)...

0:06.8	This week I decided to bring you a great show from 1973.
0:12.7	This comes to us from December 8th, 1973, camera, an indoor stadium, Duke University, Durham

0:21.5	This is one of those long 73 shows, 16 song first set.
0:26.8	It's quite good, the band's got plenty of energy, that's for sure.
0:32.5	Starts off with me and my uncle Sugary, a great Mexicaly blues, dire wolf, black-throated
0:38.3	wind, a beautiful, they love each other, one of the best.
0:41.0	Me and Bobby McGee, arguably one of the better ones of the year, don't ease me in, probably
0:46.6	not one of the better ones of the year.
0:48.7	The race is on, always fine to hear, brown-eyed women, a bubbly big river, really nice one, candy
0:54.8	man, it's very sweet.
0:56.6	And then the complete weather reports sweet, which takes a bit to get going, but once it
1:00.2	does, features some classic jamming from Jerry, and a great reading about from Bobby.
1:06.2	The closest set with a China rider, it is cut at one point, but nevertheless, it's got
1:11.9	a feeling groovy jam in there that's really nice, I think you'll enjoy it.
