While this is the last Deadpod before the holiday, I will naturally include some great acoustic Dead music for your enjoyment. However since it is also a few days before the holiday, I thought I would break with tradition a bit and include some electric Dead as well. The show I selected for this week really dictated this choice, its a fine show that was performed back on April 3rd, 1970 at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati Ohio. I bring you part one this week. Unlike most acoustic sets, this show features an acoustic set right smack in the middle.. so rather than try to rearrange the songs I thought I would bring you the first part this week and finish up next Friday night. Some of the highlights here include a great jam in 'China Cat'>'I Know You Rider' , Pigpen on 'Hard to Handle' and Katie Mae', and the first ever preformance of 'Candyman' .
