Summary

Here is an appropriate Dead show for Friday the 13th! This is the second set from the band's performance at the Hofheinz Pavilion at the University of Houston on November 19th, 1972. A fine second set and while the tape has a few imperfections (the quality of the Sugar Mag>GDTRFB is degraded sadly) I think overall it is certainly worth your time..

Why do I say its appropriate for a Friday the 13th? Take a good *long* listen to this Dark Star.. :)

I'm going to leave the music speak for itself this week but I do hope you'll enjoy this fine 90 plus minutes of 1972 Grateful Dead.

0:20.0	The second set is quite nice.
0:22.0	It starts out with Promised Land, Ramble on Rose,
0:25.0	a nice al-Passo, then a Stella Blue, an unusual kind of location.
0:29.0	Jack Straw, and then the highlight is probably this
0:32.0	over 30 minute, almost 31 minute dark star.
0:35.0	Very jazzy, you'll notice some themes in there if you may recognize.
0:40.0	Phil is quite prominent in the mix.
0:42.0	It's almost a 70 or 71 dark star. It's a little bit different
0:46.6	than some around this period. Very spacey. Into Weather Report Sweet Prelude.
0:52.1	Into Mississippi Up Down, uptown Tootle Lou into round and

0:58.1	Big Railroad Blues Falls, it's a really nice version.
1:00.5	Sugar Magnolia and they conclude with going down the road feeling bad.
