Summary

This week the Deadpod travels to London England, to the Rainbow Theater, where the band played eight wonderful shows during 1981. This was the next to last performance at the Rainbow, on October 4, 1981.

This recording really highlights Brent and Garcia.. its a bright and open recording I think you'll enjoy. Some of the highlights are the Jack-A-Roe, Beat It On Down the Line, and Brown Eyed Women that come in the middle of the set, but there are really no clunkers here in my opinion. The set closing Deal is a smoker as always...

0:15.3	This one's from October 4, 1981, at the Rainbow Theater, one of their favorite venues over there in London. We're going to hear
0:22.2	a set one this week, set two next week. A nice recording starts out with a real energetic
0:27.6	jack straw, a friend of the devil follows into El Paso. Then we get really the heart of this first set,
0:33.3	Jack a row, a beat down the line with, I think they were 21 beats, and then beautiful brown-eyed women.
0:40.3	And throughout this, Brent and Jerry are in particular, I think, stars in this one.

0:48.3	New Minglewood Blues follows a nice row Jimmy, and then they close with it, long, let it grow into a smoking hot deal.
