Hello, welcome to the Dead Pod for the week of January 23rd, 2006.

This is a professor, so glad to pick us up this week.

This week I'm going to continue with my tribute to Bobby Weir.

I hope some of you were able to catch his homecoming memorial service that was on the Internet.

Last Saturday, it was quite well done and very touching. But what I want to do this week

is play the second set of Rat Dog's performance at the Blue Note in Columbia, Missouri. November

2nd, in 2000, it was a Thursday night. Second set's, I think, quite interesting and good. It

starts out with West L.A. Fadeaway with Johnny Johnson.

Sailor Saint comes next. Then drums, the wheel, great love light, and they come back with an

encore and do Johnny Be Good. So, hope you enjoy it. It brings back a lot of fond memories to me,

and all I can say is fair you well Bob.

I will miss you. I hope all of you stay warm. Apparently we got a big cold blast and a lot of icy

snowy weather coming. So take care. I hope to see you back here next week. Thanks for picking us up
