Summary

Diamond Dallas Page plays Nighthawk in the new Netflix series, “Guardians of Justice,” about a team of troubled superheroes fighting against evil in the world and in themselves! Series creator Adi Shankar and DDP explain what it took to get the series made, why it spent 7 years in development, what inspired all of the various animation styles in the episodes, and which storylines and characters come directly from Adi’s own life as an immigrant kid finding his way in America. 0:16.7	a new superhero series on Netflix called Guardians of Justice. And it stars frequent talk as Jericho
0:23.4	guest and my pal Diamond Dallas page created by Adi Shankar. It was a lifelong process
0:29.0	from idea to release Adi and Dallas are on the show today to tell us all about the making
0:33.5	of Guardians of Justice, which came from the imagination of Adi during a really dark time
0:38.2	in his own life. He explains how he came up with a very interesting concept of troubled
0:43.4	superheroes who have to confront evil both within them and without them. And of course
0:49.2	each other in this cool mix of live action animation, clay, magin, eight digit by everything
0:55.9	in between. It's very, very interesting. He actually founded his own animation company
1:00.1	to get this series created the way he envisioned it. Dallas talks about how he met Adi and
1:05.0	what he thought of the first time he read scripts for the series about seven years ago.
1:09.3	The two of them share how this was supposed to originally be a movie for YouTube and how
1:13.5	it evolved into a series for Netflix. Adi also talks about his Hollywood career from producing
1:19.9	films like The Grey and Dread to series like Castlevania, which was huge on Netflix, to
1:25.4	creating the bootleg universe on YouTube. He said a crazy wild ride at such a young age.
