back to the office. The president of the United States has indicated strongly repeatedly

that the federal workforce returned to the office after Labor Day. Francis Rose, he

is the host of FedGov today, a podcast twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday, and a TV show

on Channel 7, the nation's capital on Sunday morning. The discussion is led by Brittany

Carroll of the federal human capital practice lead at Accenture Federal Services, but the

story is back to the office. Francis, a very good day to you. This direction from the White

House within days now is going to cause a traffic jam that hasn't been seen for two years

in Washington. Fill up the restaurants and puzzle me. Deeply puzzle me as to how this is going

to work, but say that it is going to work. What is it that we learned from Brittany about how

the office will be different two years later with all that we've learned about productivity,

about satisfaction, about work from home? Good evening, Francis. Good evening, John. Thanks for

having me on the program. What we learned is that nobody's really sure quite yet what exactly

back to the office will look like in the federal government or any place else. You and I talked

a little bit before we went on the air about the fact that the private sector companies are still

trying to figure this all out too, and not doing any better. I don't think that the federal

government is, but we don't know what exactly the agencies will have to do. We don't know what

kinds of timelines they will work on. We do know that the White House has not told them anything

more than be aggressive about coming back to the office after Labor Day, but it hasn't said

that you have to make people come back three days a week or five days a week or certain days

or a certain number of days per pay period. What a lot of agencies were doing was every two
