Summary

As we saw at the end of the last episode, Tamara somehow has the nerve to show her face back in Capeside AFTER EVERYTHING. Officially it's to sell her house and also a warehouse (???), the latter possibly to Mitch for his fake restaurant, which is why Dawson is the first credits-cast Capeside High student to see her. He does TRY to warn Pacey, but not hard enough, since as we keep saying, he's a bad friend. And while Andie does pick up on a vibe when she witnesses Pacey running into Tamara totally unprepared (bad friend, is what he has), she's too worried about sorting out how Pacey feels about Andie herself to interrogate why he's so thrown by a chance reunion with an old teacher. Laura continues her mentorship of Joey through an art lecture and then a drawing class, strongly encouraging Joey to consider pursuing art study more seriously. Dawson seems to think this possible new "hobby" is absolutely adorable, then can't figure out why Joey is insulted by his tone. Undeterred by Dawson treating her like a precocious child, she decides to check out an art exhibition on her own, and when Bessie convinces her to take Jack, she accidentally stumbles into having a lot in common with a boy friend who's not her boyfriend. Abby and Jen have a chance meeting with a hot fisherman named Vincent, but no amount of reminding each other and the viewer that he is much much much MUCH too old for them can stop this storyline, apparently. Don't go far: we brought you an episode on "Tamara's Return"!

You're not going to throw me in front of a bus or anything, are you?

0:03.8

It's an interesting idea. I hadn't thought of that.

0:14.3

Hello, everybody. This is, again with this, Dawson's Creek.

0:18.8

Today's episode is Season 2, Episode 4, Tamara's Return.

0:23.5

And now here are your host.

0:25.6

0:34.6

It is in fact not Tara Aranano and Sarah D. Blunting.

0:39.3

Sarah had to deal with some family stuff this week.

0:42.4

So for this episode and the next two Dawson's Creek episodes, we have a wonderful guest.

0:50.3

Hi.

0:51.6

I am truly honored to be here.

0:53.7

Thank you so much.

0:54.7

You were the first person that I thought of for this, because I know you've been watching along with the episodes and that this would not be a very heavy lift for you to jump on. But what is your history with this show?

1:05.6

I was high school class of 93, so 902.00 was a foundational text. And then I largely didn't watch TV during college, so I missed some stuff like my so-called life.

1:15.3

I've caught up, don't worry.

1:17.3

When Dawson's Creek came out, I mean, I was A very into Buffy, so I was watching the WB, or the WB, as it was.

1:24.3

I was also a big fan of Scream and the faculty, and still am. Those movies totally hold up. I remember being like, wait, the guy who wrote Scream is writing a teen drama, and I was really excited about it. And I watched all of it at the time being, you know, slightly out of the target demo. I once famously said to John Ramos, I don't quit shows. I watched all seven seasons of Dawson's Creek. And he was like, there were only six seasons of Dawson's Creek, but it sure felt like

1:47.7

longer. But I do remember actually really, really loving the first couple seasons. And so I've been

1:54.4

enjoying watching along with the podcast, maybe not this week. But well, yeah, this is not a great

2:00.6

one, but you have a good one in a couple of weeks.

2:03.8

So your last one on is, I will say, a banger.
