Okay, so as we discuss seeing events just a few days on from the last episode,

there we no-guessed a month in year game today. It would be a bit easy.

Let's quickly remind ourselves what we heard in the last episode. It was a height of the troubles in

the 1970s near Porter down in Northern Ireland. in the

Northern Ireland. In response to the murder of the Catholic man,

Ronnie trainer in an attack at his home by loyalist terrorists in December

1975, the nationalist I N. L.A. carried out a bomb attack on the

central bar in Guilford on New Year's Eve. This killed three local Protestant civilians,

William Scott, Richard Beatty, and Sylvia McCulloch.

On January 4, 1976, loyalist terrorists took revenge of this atrocity by carrying out devastating attacks on two Catholic homes in the local area.

The first left brothers Brian and John have really dead and their 17-year-old brother Anthony severely injured.

He would die just weeks later on the 30th of January.

Just 10 minutes later they were coordinated attacks.

Gunman burst into the farmhouse where the O'Dowd family were enjoying a celebration of 16 people.

Barry, Declan and Joe O'Dowd were murdered at the scene.

The local community was in deep shock at these murders and frankly that

anger has barely subsided with the passing of the years. Eugene Rivey, a brother of the

three dead men, still gets angry when he talks about the attack

that killed his brothers.

He was 28 at the time and is down his 70s.
