0:07.0	Today we have a mystery on our hands. We don't know for sure who wrote this book or who they wrote it too.
0:17.4	There are a few credible theories like Paul or Luke or Barnabas or Apollo's.
0:21.4	All we know is that whoever it was ran in the same circle as the Apostles.
0:25.6	But if we don't know who wrote it, then why was it canonized as scripture?
0:29.4	The primary reason is that the early church fathers accepted it as scripture.

0:37.2	written to Jewish Christians. It references the Old Testament a lot and it is a
0:41.4	treatise on the supremacy of Christ Christ which is probably why it's a
0:44.5	crowd favorite. It has its fair share of heavy lifting but it's so worth it. Right out of the
0:49.6	gate the author is laying out rich theology. Jesus created the world.
0:53.8	Jesus is the radiance of God's glory.
0:55.7	Jesus is the exact imprint of the Father.
0:57.8	Jesus sustains the universe at all times.
1:00.1	Jesus purified us from our sins.
1:02.1	Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father.
1:04.5	I'm ready for the altar call and we've only read four verses.
1:07.5	The earth and the heavens will wear out someday, but Jesus will remain unchanged forever
1:12.3	despite both of his homes being done away with and made new.
1:15.4	The author tells his readers to not let all of this escape them.
