0:07.0	Today in our New Testament plan we finished book 16 and in our full Bible plan we finished
0:17.4	book 55.
0:19.5	We first met the Philippians in act 16.
0:22.0	Here's a quick refresher.
0:23.2	Philippi is where Paul and Silas were arrested and God used that to save their
0:27.2	prison guard and his whole family. It's also where they met Lydia whose whole
0:30.7	family converted to Christianity, too.
0:32.6	And it's also where they met a demonized girl
0:34.8	and set her free from the demon and from slavery.
0:38.0	Today, Paul writes an encouragement filled letter
0:40.0	to the church here.
0:41.0	From day one, they've had a unique relationship with Paul. He
0:44.1	planted this church and he's watched it grow and he's confident that God will
0:47.4	finish what he started in them. He repeats this idea a few times in this short
0:51.6	letter. In one six he says he who began a good work in
0:55.6	you will bring it to completion at the day of Christ Jesus and in two twelve
0:59.7	through thirteen he says work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to
1:06.1	will and to work, for his good pleasure.
1:09.4	He indicates that God is the one doing the good works through them and even creating the desire in them to do those things.
